Iftar for IRAP
Please join us this Ramadan for our 2nd Annual Iftar For IRAP! Enjoy a halal buffet dinner, fresh-pressed juice and contemporary art at Aicon Gallery, New York City’s premier South Asian art gallery. This year\’s Iftar will include live remarks from Syrian civil rights activist and photojournalist Loubna Mrie. Prints of her work will also be available for purchase during the silent auction.
Proceeds will benefit the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), the first organization to provide comprehensive legal assistance to refugees displaced by conflict in the Middle East and North Africa. IRAP has been instrumental in organizing and providing legal assistance to those detained at JFK and other airports after the administration’s January 27 “travel ban” executive order.
Tickets are $40 until June 5th; prices increase incrementally as the event date approaches. Last year’s tickets sold out so get yours soon!
